Any thoughts of an OS 120AX? It's $10 less than the OS 95AX. If i'm going to spend the money on a 95AX, would the 120AX be a viable alternative?
The 120Ax is a really sweet engine, but it has 60% more power than most .60's. Won't it be a little over the top?
Anyway, I have a 120AX and I start it by hand, usually by twisting the spinner backwards. This causes a kick forward and Brrrmmm, away she purrs.
I too run a 120ax in my gb ultimate. It is a lot of power but that is what the left tumb stick is for, besides you can run 5 or 10% in it to dial it down or put a larger lower pitch prop on it. There are guys swinging 17" props on it. 120ax Best bang for the buck and it is not much heavier than a 91fx. an once or 2...
Why bother with a 91 when u can get a 120 for 20-30 more dollars?
I also use magnums. I had a 91 (4 cycle) in my twist 60 and on 15% the power was terrible but after I burned her in with a few galons I switched to 30% heli. lol LOADS of power! She ran better too, tranisioned better, back fired less if at all.
