I hate to say but this little dispute between us vs. the city of Trussville is still in an on going battle. Today they sent us a letter "Certified Mail" where we had to sign for it to get it. Basicly it states that the City board has filed complaints about our "Trellis" saying we did not comply with the code.

This letter is coming from the inspector who first of all told us we could build a brick wall then said no, then told us the exact specifications of how to build a breezeway which we then built. He came out and signed off and dated our final inspection which we now have locked away in our vault. And now He sends us this letter that says we are still not in compliance.

My parents were trying to avoid are last alternative at all cost but unfortunately it has come down to this. My dad is now seeking out a layer to see what exactly is are legal rights in this situation. Also he is trying to find out what exactly the city can do to us now that we have the documents stating that the workshop is fully signed off and approved.
