I joined the VRCS this week...
I have been meaning to join both the SPA and the VRCS for a while, so my joining the VRCS isn't totally unexpected and it shouldn't surprise anyone. But I'm still not a member (once again) of the SPA. Why? Well, unlike the VRCS webpage, the SPA does their best to obscure how one might join their organization. VRCS made it easy to find and easy to fund. I didn't need to print out a form and then complete it. I did not need to fill out a check and mail it with the form to their treasurer. Nope, VRCS set it up so that the form was done online along with paying the dues online. Is the SPA trying to limit their membership only to a chosen few? Being a southerner that spent most of his life in Union territory, I'm a little paranoid about the good-old-boys down in the south. Oops! I meant THE SOUTH.
Of course I'm kidding. I'm a southerner by birth too, not that it actually matters. But come on SPA administrators, you could bring your membership up considerably if you would enable joining online complete with dues paying online.
And if all of my requests are already in place on your website, I apologize. But please show me where to join!!!
