RE: Well No flying this weekend
Here in north Alabama we seldom see snow and we pretty much get to fly, fish, or play golf year round. But this fall/early winter has been probably the wettest in many years. We have only had a few days over the last 2 months that were OK for flying. Thankfully I have a plane on my building table.
As for the airline inadequacies, I worked as an avionics/a&p for 30 years (Braniff initially, after the Air Force) and it has been a real bummer to watch the industry go so far downhill over 30 years. When I started in 1978 there was such a thing as service. Today its like they are doing us a favor to fly with them. My wife recently took a trip to NY on USAir. She says never again will she fly with them. I sure miss TWA. They understood customer service.
