RC8 to RC8B
I've got an older, no longer so great condition RC8. I mostly use it for just messing around on the track. I primarily race my RC8T.
Anyway, the RC8 is getting kind of ragged. Chassis not looking so great, bit of slop here and there, etc.. Runs well enough though.. Has Hong Nor Big Bores and a Reckward top-plate.
Was wondering, would it make sense to buy the following from a chop-shop:
1.) A, B,C and D plates.
2.) shock towers.
3.) chassis
4.) radio box
??
Is there really a quality difference with the B? Is the plastic quality the same??
Whatever I do I think I want to sell my RC8T. Another idea would be to try to find a trade for a Mugen MBX6.. In which case I'd do a brand switch completely.. Had been wanting an SC8 to go with the truggy, then maybe ditch the buggy. But 1.) the SC8 is too expensive, and 2.) I think I prefer buggy to truggy... More fun to drive.. So would be good to turn the RC8T and RC8 into just one buggy - RC8B or Mugen MBX6. I have tons of spares for the Assos...
I don't have definite plans to race, but maybe here and there on a more casual basis when time, money, etc.., permit..
