Making good progress on my Bash of the Turbinator into a semi-scale Ts-11. I have to do a bit more sanding to get everything the right shape, but the structure is done. I have to decide how I'm going to round off the leading edges of the intakes. I think the intakes and extra balsa near the jet exhaust add quite a bit to the scale appearance. I moved the wing up into the fuse 1/2", so I added some intake through the belly pan to compensate. Because it is a straight shot, I think I will have more air available than stock. Not much else to show until I get it painted. The next photos I post will likely be of the completed plane. I weighed the total bare plane with retracts and it came in at about 12 lbs. I should be able to hit my 21 pound dry target.
