Business is still business. If you are selling stuff, you should be communicating to your customers inquiries. You just can't justify not anwsering emails or phone calls especially if your clients placed orders they are waiting for. That is just bad business practice regardless of the situation. I have no stake in this as I don't order anything from Bill, but I won't either after all the ppl that "cannot" reach him.
