Default RE: Does a rip in a carb dust boot matter?

For the record, on the carb I did the test on, the boot is a tight fitting boot, not loose. My little test indicates removal of the boot won't affect the tune which some others agree with due to their experience. Supertib claims otherwise. I do believe he has significant enough experience to know what he's talking about, so his claims warrant further discussion and/or investigation. Hence a discussion.

For those of you coming in on a month old thread, with nothing better to do than make smug remarks after all the facts are already in, not to mention never having made any attempt to help the OP in the first place, why don't you go do something better with your time.
