RTV Does melt under Nitro ...Not a Big Blob...but after all who puts a Big BLOB of silicone on their motor....NO one...you need a bead or thin layer to seal a carb and it WILL debond in a matter of time....believe it or not....like its been said the MFG who makes the darn product said not to use it....what ELSE can you say.
So are we going to trust the manufacturers only when it is convenient for us? I noticed earlier that tib said he knew better than the OS manufacturer when it comes to dust boots. An analogy to your statement would be like saying grains of table salt will dissolve in water but a big piece of rock salt will not. That's just rediculous. I tested it first hand and it does not, and I've been using it for years with no issues. As a matter of fact, I still have those vials with the RTV soaking (it has been 6 months) and they are still not affected.
Anyway, we're not here to discuss RTV, but apparently he needs all the help he can get since you've stepped in here with this weak attempt to defend him. I just brought it up as an example of how he really is. He has been proven wrong countless times, and all he can do to support his statements is post pictures (as seen above) in an attempt to prove he is right, but doing that is simply his attempt to divert from the real topic because he can't back up what he says. He did it last time too, and he was wrong, so I'll go ahead and assume he hasn't changed and take what he says with a grain of salt.
