Default RE: Official F27 Stryker Part 8: Beginners to Custom Darkness

Gryphon - thanks for your suggestions. I'd like to have a small, quick delta just for fun. I would expect to at least get to 100 MPH, but not looking to break any records. I had the following ideas: Start with a new stock C version Stryker. Goal is a balance between speed and vertical - all around configuration, unless it can be changed just by swapping props.

1. Run the stock 3S setup until you can't get any more out of it. Add heatsink to stock motor?
2. Change the ESC to the CC ICE Lite 75 or 100 w/BEC and go to 4S until the stock motor smokes
3. Install a MEGA motor (which one?) on Gary's new mount, add CF rods as described and HS-85MGs

I have TP batteries in 3S, 4S and 5S sizes, and will probably limit things to 75 amps or so. I could use any number of packs including:

3S2600
3S4200
4S3850
2x 4S2600 Extreme V2
4S4600
4S5000
5S3300
5S5000

I would be interested in the MEGA with 5mm "C" shaft, I see the value there. Use an AR6200 receiver. I will only build one plane for fun, like at SEFF, my main interests are elsewhere.
Any guidance you can offer will be appreciated.

Thanks, Louie
