Hey Jason,

Great job on the UB! Looks like you chose all the right equipment to outfit your #1 bird!

The powerjack looks like a neat new (new to me since I hadn't seen one before) concept.

Good call on the fuel system, that motor will take all you can give to it for sure.

Keep an eye on the canopy hoop as you'll tend to remove and install the giant canopy hatch by grabbing the clear plastic, with higher speeds the lone hoop can tend to cause alittle vibration, I used some silicone on mine (prior to its spectacular demise) to secure it to the clear plastic.

Best of luck with it all, I'm sure it will quickly become your favorite.

David, yes I'm really happy with the Futaba FASST, it just seems to work! The Powerjack came from Motors and Rotors, he seems to be the only UK stockiest. In theory it should be a good addition to the Futaba RX.

I'll make sure I glue the canopy in very well.

Thanks for the CG tips too.

Jason

Enjoy the maiden flight whenever it comes, pay careful attention to that sprung door make sure it cannot slip off the leg and jam in any way,,,,,,,, don’t ask.

Just took a look and I can see what you mean. It will be fine at the moment but after a few flights it may move sideways allowing the strut to jam. I'll fit a wider strip of polyply to the plywood to stop it happening.
