RE: Scared to use my Spectrum X9303...
I've been using spectrum for two years now and have had zero problems. But when people have problems using spectrum at my local field its usually their fault for not setting up the plane right, and their so quick to blame 2.4 as the problem. I suggest people using spectrum read the manuel as "SCALECRAFT" mentioned and make sure your plane doesn't look like a bowl of spaghetti inside and then wonder why you lost signal. I always use the maximum amount of satellites the reciever can support, use new batteries and new extensions on all new planes. Also the satellites need to be mounted as far from each other as you can and at different orientations or your just wasting your time and money when you crash. Next time your at the field look inside other peoples planes and you will see the receivers mounted wrong and in bad spots. You might have to build mounts for your satellites because our planes have not caught up with the all the new technology thats available, old school thinking with new gear simply doesn't work anymore........just something different to think about. Sorry for your loss.
