its been said in the thread already but ill repeat it.
the Member deemed it Not necessary due to the mfg themselves saying they have NOTHING in their inventory that is Nitro methanol proof and the fact we know its not and there's better alternative's so what's there left to argue ? dittch is the one who brings the thread back up and gives the pot a stir.
IMO dittch's test was bogus...we don't seal our carbs with blobs of silicone therefor the test was skewed....he needed to smear a thin layer on a piece of aluminum (like on a carb) submerge it and watch it peel off....1211 or racers edge will NOT release or degrade in thin application's like RTV will....i dont see why some are soo stubborn to realize this.
TRY and use RTV as a crank plug like we do with 1211 and see what happens.....oh and make sure to take pics.
