RE: why a cub?
Ha! I challenge you to build one scale with all the nuts and bolts, interior and all! That airplane is so basic that a miscalculation in one location and all bets are off for everything else! The fin- fuse- stab junction fillet is difficult to execute. So is the cabin area. It is a fun airplane to build and fly. I could Lomcevac(sp?) with it. It was fun to roll down the runway with one wheel, lift and then roll the other. It is a great airplane to practice 'slips' for the times you need to fly into and out of a boxed canyon (hey- I can pretend, right?). You had to use the rudder. I remember a Nats or some meet that had an absolutely perfect Cub and some less than perfect 'warbirds' outscored it. That's one reason I don't care for those 'beautycontests'- too much subjectivity involved. Ultimately- beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Have fun!
