People talk about priming with lighter fluid in cold weather. Various fuel suppliers have 1/2A fuel. Sig, Powermaster, etc. On your engine which won't suck fuel, probably the needlevalve is gummed up, and the reed is stuck so it can't suck fuel. Take it apart and clean it up with carburetor cleaner.
