Default RE: WORLD MODELS 80.5 P-51 MUSTANG GS

[
I have a world GS Mustang - the miss america version. I fly it with a super tiger 2300 engine using a master airscrew 17-8 scimitar prop. This engine is a GREAT engine for this plane. It takes off ok and in the air it is FAST. It slows down well for landing. The 2300 turns 9500 on the ground with this prop (after breakin). It unloads a LOT in the air - you can see the plane accelerate during the first circuit and it is really moving when it comes back down the runway .

I use 10% Omega fuel, with an OS ''F'' glow plug.

I would not recommend the 3250 - it is designed for lower rpm and while I'm sure it's a good engine and it would fly the plane I doubt it would perform as well as with the 2300. I'm a super tiger fanatic and would have used the 3250 if I thought it would fly the mustang well.

Thanks Ed, sounds like a big block vs. small block issue. I have an older BX1 (1.08), but I dont think it would be quite enough for this size warbird. Definitely would want the faster of the two ST's, and the price seems to be good. What muffler do you think would work best? (in the W.M. P-51 cowl anyway) I am interested in getting one of these arfs, any thoughts on the stock retracts? How did your plane balance out with the 2300? Any other pointers or things to look for would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks again, J.
