Rc foam glider conversion
I stumbled on wanting to build a rc plane for AP. in my case i have a botched 8.1 mega pixel camera that after a swim in the ocean now only wants to record video.. at 5 oz as a target payload.. I heard about the easystar and the twinstar they just seem a little pricey to buy and then buy a brushless power pack, i have a dx5e transmitter.. while looking for another option it seems like building a plane might be the only way... I have a 4.5 ft wing span foam glider right now weight 6 oz and i know the wings will require beefing, the total target weight is around 40 oz... it this a good weight with a 75% thrust : 1 weight ratio. the plane glides a good 75 feet with no load, and is lifoam's r-mer version which is suppose to be stronger then most foams... the other question i have is the wing shape.. the trailling edge ends with about 1/4 inch flat vertical side should it qualify to be shaped flush with the under side to a crisp edge?
