I fly from a very rough pasture patch in the middle of a sheep field using a 16x10 with the standard UC and spats, its now about two years old and still in fairly good condition, the UC has bent occasionally and the lift generators have punctured the side of the fus, nothing a bit of balsa and CA could not cure.

As to taking off with the ailerons reversed, I have nothing constructive to add in fact nine times out of ten its de-constructive, or is that re-kitting. LOL It does not matter how experienced you are at some time or another we all have, or will do it, the test is if you get away with it??????????
