For the tips of a 14 inch prop to reach super sonic speeds, you would have to do over 700 thousand RPMs at about 120mph speed of the airplane. Also, if those prop tips would reach super sonic speed, the prop would disintegrate. I don't think super sonic speed have anything to do with that noise.
