IMO a revo looks more like a overgrown 1/10th scale stadium truck on steroids(traxxas claims its 1/10th but its closer to 1/9th in actual size) instead of a Monster Truck to me. From what I see in vids and read from owners it also handles like a Stadium Truck do to its low suspension.
A savage (1/8th scale) is designed closer to the big foot monster truck's. Its bulky, cumbersome, and top heavy. But its a blast to drive

I have had almost no issue driving over most obstacles upto around 5 inches high. The Savage X (what I own) can hit somewhere around 40 MPH stock out of the box. They are also VERY hard to break. I've done some damn high jumps(20+ feet high), landed VERY badly from most, and have yet to break a single part. They also have the Savage XL which has a bigger engine and is around 1.5 inches longer. Bonus is almost all parts are interchangeable between models so there should be no shortage on parts.
Not going to bash the revo seeing I've never owned one or used one. The above stated was just my observation of looking at Revo Pics and then looking at my Stadium trucks
