Default RE: Savage X vs Revo 3.3 (2009 model)

I own both. I have a Revo 5908 3.3 model and two Savages, one is a X 4.1 and the other is a X 4.6. For just plain ole "bashing" and tearing up the place so to speak, the Savage is probably the way to go. It's definately tougher out of the box than the Revo with less parts breakage. It is a true monster truck with monster truck handling. They are very fast and powerful also. But, the Revo is more adjustable than the Savage. You can install the long travel rockers and springs and it will stand taller than a Savage with more ground clearance also. Then you can install the Progressive rockers and springs and the Revo becomes a truggy with lower center of gravity which makes it handle better than a Savage. All of these parts are included with the Revo. The Revo 3.3 will out run a Savage X on top end if both are in stock form. Acceleration is about the same for both. The Revo engine is a little harder to tune than the Savage engine. There are more "hop up parts" available for the Revo. It's all a matter of what you like. I like them both myself!
