Default RE: Metal Finish Tutorial

I was reading the same threads last week. I did some research on all of the different metal products and they all have one thing in common, they are somewhat difficult to use and get consistent results for the guy that paints one plane a year. I figured that by the time I finished experimenting and figured out how to make the system work that I would likely waste hundreds of dollars. If you want to try the method I posted it will cost you about $10.00 in materials and the results will be comparable. I have a can of Kustom Krome mirror paint that I just paid $50.00 for 8 oz. or something and it isn't any better than the Rustoleum and way more difficult to get right consistently.

I have been flying jet around 10 years now and seen all of the best metal finishes and this is comparable in appearance. I would at least give it try before you go spend a fortune on other products.

If I can help you with the process you are welcome to call me anytime...
