If buying a fuel bottle, starter battery, and glow ignitor is going to break the bank, I will save you some time and money. DONT buy ethire. This is a hobby, not a toy. Toys you break and thow them away. Hobbies require a constant flow of $$$$. So if you think your going to buy the truck and not spend another dime then just keep on walking.
I can't really say which is the better value for the money. I'm only attempting to give the advantages and disadvantages of both. Personally I feel the Revo is more for the nitro truck experienced and the Savage is easier for the beginner to tune and run. Itseasier for the beginner to "cut their teeth on" so to speak. Don't get me wrong, their is nothing wrong with buyingthe Traxxas Revo. I like mine very much. I just hate to see someone get frustrated and give up on the hobby over not being able to tune the engine properly and seeing parts break when maybe they should have just bought a simpler tougher model which would have made their first experience much more pleasant.
