Vic,
In what your saying about Horizon, not selling parts for defective equipment. In this case a Transmitter. Does not that make them a business monopoly. Isn't that against the law. Hmmm! What if something broke on your car, and had to send the whole thing in for repair, and you could not purchase replacement parts from NAPA, Auto Zone excetra. Like an alternator, brake shoes, oil filter, windshield wipers. Oh my! I could go on forever on a topic like this. Slap me, if you like. (I'm watching my foul language)

OK guys, here's the skinny on Horizon. You have to return the radio, they will NOT sell parts...not even an antenna on any Spektrum product. Eric....sorry guy...I sold my DX7 off just before you smoked your screen. You can check this fourm marketplace OR E-Bay to find units that are not working. Right now they have a DX6 listed that the throttle gimbal is inoperative....just an idea.
It does, but they get away with it. I'm sure Spektrum sends them (Horizon) parts every week, but you aint getting any. I THINK Futaba does the same thing, you can't get parts unless you buy a used/broken system off someone. Futaba doesn't even want you taking the back off it.
addendum....they dont want you working on their radio system because of liability issues if I recall correctly.
