Default RE: New winter project: RC10GT big block conversions

Thanks for the link. New era has some nice stuff but I think they are a bit over priced. For motor mount I think I am going to use a set of mounts from a Losi 8ight and drill out the holes in the chassis. Back in the summer I had another RC10gt that I put a LRP Z.28 Spec 3 in just to see how hard it would be to do and I used an extra engine mount I had for an HPI Savage and that worked pretty well but I think the Losi mounts will work a little better. I'm not going to use the Associated clutch clutch setup either as i feel it is too small for this much power. I will be using a 3 shoe aluminum clutch setup and a clutch bell from an hpi firestorm or maybe a Associated NTC3 if I can get it to fit properly.

I am going to start tearing down the cars today and seeing what all I am going to need for them. The under sides of both chassis' are badly scraped up so I am going to try and polish away the blue finish with my dremel and give it a nice shine on the bottom side. I will do that today as well if I can strand to be out in my cold garage that long!!
