Default RE: New winter project: RC10GT big block conversions

I have been working on how I am going to fit the engine in there. I think I pretty much have it all figured out. I will be using a flywheel from an HPI savage and a 3 shoe aluminum clutch that I have laying in the garage. the clutch bell is an NTC3 24T for a single speed. I need to get something for a spur but for now I just have the old chewed up one that was on it to get an idea of where the engine will sit. the motor mounts are from a Losi 8ight. I had to turn the carb around and angle it for the throttle linkage (which I don't have yet) to line up. for the exhaust I had to cut the manifold from a Hellfirein half to make the 90 degree turn instead of 180 degrees the pipe will just miss the front wheel so I don't think I will have any trouble there. this exhaust will work much better than how I had it set up on my other GT with the LRP in it last summer. No holes have been drilled in the chassis yet, everything is just sitting there.

Here are some pics.

Here is the GT I converted last year with the LRP. Notice the bad exhaust!!LOL!
