Giant Scale Planes P-51
Sorry to hear about your loss!
I lost my GSP Mustang about a month ago. I was really having a lot of fun with it too. It was my own fault though.
I didn't secure the battery real well and it came lose at the bottom of a loop. This means the YS 1.20 was at full power, too. With just a little up elevator and wings ltevel I watched as the plane made several giant loops! Getting closer to the ground with every one. I thoughtl, "it is going to hit the wheat field flat coming out of the bottom!" No such luck. It hit and about a 45 degree angle. It hit so hard that the horizontal stab flew up above the wheat. That is how I was able to find the werckage. Needless to say it was a total loss. The fiberglass fuse must have taken all the stress of impact as the spinner didn't even break. It is a CB Tatone plastic. The engine appears to be undamaged. I just got the bill from Futaba for the radio repair though!! WOW, it was more than I thought it was going to be. It still worked when I sent it in to get checked out.
I just got the GSP P-51 kit last Friday to replace it. I now have the P-47 and the Mustang on my bench. I plan to be busy for awhile.
