Just use the breakin procedure that is in the O.S. Max .40 LA's manual, and you'll be fine. It's best if you have an experienced flyer help you.

Learning to fly all by yourself without an instructor is called the "crash and repair" method. Even though the model may be a trainer, you'll need help to learn successfully in a reasonable amount of time.
