RE: OS 95AX
OK, broke the beast in last night on Wildcat 10%, MAS wood scimitar 14X6, stock powerbox muffler and OS #8 plug that came with the engine. Temp was 63 degs., humidity 73%, altitude 95'. First 12oz were ran very rich and no rpm's were measured. Second tank, 300 rpm's down from peak was a very comfortable and steady 10,100. She was only at peak for maybe 3 to 4 seconds but seemed to be very happy there with no indications of wanting to sag. I am impressed by this engine. It's my first new OS in over 10 yrs and all I can say is WOW. I quit buying them because of the price and then stayed away because of the liner peeling issues. I have been witness to the peeling issue and was glad to see they had the 95AX available in a ring version. This engine is as smooth as silk and transition is as good you can get. I am going to try some more props later but for now I want to get it on the plane and start enjoying this work of art albeit expensive work of art.
