Sorry, one last item... I found that I like programing the A9using a stylus. I program WonderWare touch screen displays at work and I've got a few touch screen stylus' that fit on your finger like a thimble. It's certainly not necessary but you can also get a PDA style sylus cheap and it made it more enjoyable for me for an initial model setup. At the field just ''tweaking'' your program it's not needed at all but it will keep you from pushing the wrong ''button'' on some of the smaller cells.
LOL I am doing the same. I found my old Palm Pilot and used the plastic stylus which came with it to program my A9. I wonder if the touch screen will ever need calibrating after a while? I will find a place to put a little harmless clip on the A9 to hold my stylus.
BTW I left the protective film the TX came with still on the touch screen and i will cut some new ones as spare to prevent scratching. I care for my electronics big time. When I sold my 9CAP it was in brand new condition though it was about 7 years old.
Sounds like a lot of us are doing that. I don't have a stylus laying around anymore though, so I have been using the eraser end of a pencil. Works great and it actually seems easier to "push" the buttons than using my finger. I am an electronics geek, so I too care for my electronics and have left the protective film on the TX. I have a protective film on my phone made by ZAGG called the invisible shield and is guaranteed for life not to scratch or nick. It cost $30 so it is more expensive than other brands, but I think the lifetime warranty is worth it. So far it has not scratched and I have dropped it many times. Anyway, I am going to see if this company can make me a piece that will fit the Aurora screen. They make screens for over 2500 products and hopefully willmake it for this. I will let ya'll know.
