Unfortunately my engine has excessive SPS, I have not had the time to put my dial indicators or mics on either the piston or in the cylinder, but I can tell you one or both are not completely round. A softer ring might conform quicker.
I have done a complete intake re-work and removed some of the SPS. She will not die at idle and passes the tilt test when cold. As operating temps are reached things tighten up a bit and idle slows, so I guess I need to remove a little more material.
I doubt I will do anything at this point because it run fine and does not die.
