so in theory, if i mount it pointing at a wheel I will get the vehicle Speed in MPH?

I say that because if I point it at the fly wheel or drivetrain, I am only getting the speed that they are spinning at before any gearing is taken in to account. If i point the sensor at a wheel then I should get the actual speed of the car.
