ORIGINAL: supertib
i was actually quite disappointed with the LRP 30
So was I 'tib.

The old trusty Picco P3 runs rings around the LRP 30 around here and we know how to tune and drag race engines. Guys have to remember, you are ALWAYS the fastest when you are by yourself. Get on a 132' track with a tree and you'll surely see that no way, no how is that LRP making 4+ HP. I will say that "IF" it indeed was making that HP, LRP could not keep them in stock no matter how fast they produced them. In 132' drag races, we have locals using Kangaroos, Xenon's, 35+21's, C5's, C4's and run in the low 1.6's@ over 80+ MPH whereas 1.7's are definately the norm. Take that 4 HP engine and I assume that it should run 1.3's then[X(]. Sure the LRP 30 will flip a car over and I am sure of that but I'd love to see one turn 40+K RPM's with that big heavy piston and crank.

I do have an idea to "TRY" and get the Picco P3 faster and maybe the LRP 30 but it is going to take some custom things like lightening the crank more like this.

Lightening the rod by cutting out some material

lightening that HEAVY azz piston with a CNC mill for accuracy.

my vote is a Picco P3 and second would be the LRP 30. Good luck man.
