Two diodes should drop the voltage by 1.4, which would give you 5.2 volts. A123's stabilize at 6.6 volts under load immediately. At least, that is what I learned from this thread.
Hey looking at doing this on aan 50cc plane and trying to find out which diodes that I need. Will be using an 2 cell a123 pack. Thanks for your help.
