RE: Tam Long tiger I e
No offense taken Duane, F is correct though. I have had this Tiger going on 3 years. Over that time I upgraded it as I went along and as new and better parts became available. So for me, it was the economical way to do it. In the long run Yes I could have had bought the Tamiya tiger, but the knowledge and expeirience that I gained and the fun I had building it is priceless. Agian it is the electronics package that does really make it economical. We all know what the DMD and MF units can be had for, then you can get any one of 10 decent hobby grade radios for under a hundred bucks, so how can you beat that. All of the HL motors and gear boxes can be addapted to the DMD and MFU so no need to change out all the other components. That is why I left the HL traverse mechanism, it is FAST compared too the Tamiya. Quite the nasty little suprise for the Die hard Tamiya guys. LOL
