Nice conversion.

It's funny but I was considering doing this exact thing this summer; only I was going to buy all of the parts at once as a kit (metal hull, upper hull, metal gears, new version of the CD turret, etc). By then hopefully, CreepingDeath will have their new turret on the market and it is supposed to work with the Tamiya electronics. So, I'm glad to see this thread with someone that just did it. Now I know what will fit, which is everything. But, for guys like me who would be doing this sort of conversion for the first time, can you provide:

a more detailed how-to with step-by-step photos?

a parts list (wiring harnesses, plugs & types of plugs, which DMD/MFU, controller/receiver/servo) and where you got them (Jason's ebay store name or seller name, for example)?



Last question: It looks like you might have used one, but just to confirm...did you use a 2.4 GHz radio for this? That would be great to be able to use that instead of the 27 or 75 MHz radios.
