Default RE: Help identify this heli please

It has been answered but it is a Helimax MX-400, Do not use the blades recommended above in the link. 325's are too long this is not a 450 size - heli it's a 400 size heli. Check my profile - gallery and search the "MX-400 Purchase" thread I made along time ago.
It was a great heli.
You can still get the Helimax 400 helis but only as overruns and back room discounts. Helimax now promotes the Axe 400 instead.

You can still purchase parts from the foreign web based sources for the Helimax 400 under the X400 classification. For some reason, x400 parts seel for cheaper than Helimax 400.
Go figure. Tower hobbies is still selling 400 parts as one location for you. Also Check out Grandrc.com for the X400 parts.

No, Align Trex parts wont fit. Don't try its a waste of time unless you had the MX450 ccpm version. You dont, you have the mechanical mix.
Loose the helimax motor, seriously it overheats very quickly. I went with the Trex 430 motor back then and it was a great improvement
Its a great helicopter. I still have mine, Just collects dust now though as I went to 450 rex class stuff.
You can also go to the RCU videos, type in MX400 and MY video of the 4th day ever flying an electric heli with the 400. Fun stuff

Have fun with it, but keep in mind - becoming obsolete and you can actually purchase a clone 450 size heli complete frame kit for less than the cost of a couple of x400 parts.
IE: exi450 trex clone.

Later!!!
