No problem with priming. Plug the exhaust and crank it over. That pressurizes theo tank. Say it doesn't start right away....when you take your finger off the exhaut, the built-up air pressure in the tank escapes through the one-way valve instead of fuel coming back up the other line.
No, the fitting goes in the front side of the tank, close to the bottom. Check out some of the completed installation pics in this thread. Re-read the theory post. It's probably a good idea to fully understand this mod before doing it. In fact, I won't do anybody's mod if it doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe this will help:
The fitting goew in the bottom so the pressure at that point is always the same at a given rpm, regardless of the amount of fuel in the tank. The bottom of the tank is where the pick-up is, so that's where we want the pressure to be consistent for a certain rpm.
