Dan, if you've got your pipe, you can start working on the pipe tunnel. That's somewhat of a big chore that is not dependent upon having the engine in hand. The heavy stock FG pipe tunnel isn't going to fit a gas pipe, and even if it did you might want to make your own just to save a lot of weight. The length from the firewall (not including the little curved "cul-de-sac" at the end) is 29" to accommodate the ES 30G. I bought a roll of the blue Ultracote and have a lot left over... be happy to send you enough to cover the pipe tunnel.
I got mine finished fairly quickly because while waiting on various pieces, I was doing other stuff like the aileron linkages, wing adjusters (talk about PITA!), elevator pushrods, setting up fuel tank clunk, etc... anything to stay busy because it all has to be done in the end and it all takes time. There is LOTS do to on this plane! BTW, if you find your fuse wing tube socket is not exactly straight, I have a good quick fix for that as well. Seems endemic to the Focii... at least the two I've assembled
