Default RE: Wiring a 12' Telemaster

I've owned two of these and both failed due to strut failures. I'm not building a third one. Make sure you replace the metal ends on the struts with something a little more robust and make sure you at least two bolts running through the metal end through the strut. There is a Giant Tele thread here on RCU that gives details. Many of these birds have gone down due to strut failures. Mostly due to the fact that the wing is designed the strut is critical. Look at the new Giant Tele ARF that Hobby Lobby is selling. They changed the wing to use tubes and made it three piece. That would be a much simpler and stronger wing that would relie less on the strut. My last one lasted several years towing sailplanes, had a G62 in it and flew great. You'll really enjoy it. Good luck, Jerry.
