I read your post with interest. When describing SPA as a backward looking group you are exactly right. That is the whole point of the SPA. What you are describing is probably a good idea. Seems to me though that it should be pursued apart from or possibly in conjunction with SPA. SPA should be left alone "as is" at least in my opinion. It attracts a certain group of people, not all old enough to have flown back in the day. The growth of the organization has shown that Mickey had a great idea when he put it together.
