I believe that you could attract new blood by allowing and encouraging new designs.
This is the classic pattern forum. This forum as well as the BPA is about planes that were designed years ago. New designs are not welcome here. There is the main pattern forum. Perhaps you need to go change the AMA pattern rules instead.
