Hello,
From past build experience the parts you mention all work pretty good.
4 years ago I built this backyard runner and
banned SCAT gun fighter in the form of a Tamiya King Tiger with a Porsche Turret. This one started life as as a static kit and I combined Tamiya new parts, legacy Tamiya parts, after market parts and a HL turret elevation unit for good, reliable, operational results.
I used the Daryl Turner spring return idler system (easy to install & works pretty good & way better than the kit idler system), the DT gear box mount brace, stock Tamiya gear boxes with long can motors and gear reduction and used a small Tamiya ESC to run the old style turret rotation system for flawless, quick (LOL), turret rotation.
The tank could take 7 – 8 hits and still drive off and climb a grade (LOL), hence it was declared a cheater at its first SCAT outing, but it was fun to build and super to drive with either plastic tracks and latter Impact metal tracks.
There are cheaper ways to go, but the fun factor is up there if you decide to own, build, and drive a good running Tamiya Porsche Turret King Tiger
full option hybrid panzer.
You decide for yourself if you want to spend your money on a RC Porsche KT static build conversion and write up a budget first so you know what your getting into and that is my opinion.
