I looked at my Raptor today and the gear are the same. The seller said in his ad that it was new struts so they've obviously soldered the brass tube on themselves, but honestly, they look better than my original CAI ones, the only difference is when they came from CAI they were painted so they look prettier.
As for whatever other damage is on your plane, well, no comments can be made without seeing pictures but mismatched bolts don't make it a piece of crap, it's just bolts. I'd be interested to see other pictures of it.
