I'm hoping you'll start this up again sometime in the near future. I've acquired a NIB Taurus this week and like you I'm not a collector. Upon perusing the contents she is in extremely fine shape. The balsa is very fresh looking and even smells so. The die-cutting is also very nice. This appears to be a very early 70's or perhaps late 60's vintage. It makes no mention of "proportional" gear usage so far as I have looked. Last time I had a Taurus in hand was around 1973. It dented my Sweetater savings but I'll just cut back on the black n tan's for awhile! I posted a few pics in Dave's Tiger Tail resto thread. Thanks.

Excellent score Hook! And no, the thread isn't dead. A lot of work has been done and I'm just doing other modeling to keep fresh. Maybe next week I'll post some more pics. If you start to build your Taurus, please contribute to this thread with pics and comments.
