RE: A good starter plane?
Go get a Sig Kadet EP.
It has proper 4 channel control, is easy to fly, and is balsa construction, so it looks great!
I have flown one, and think it is great - it has all the slow, stable flight characteristics of the glow Kadet Senior, but is much smaller and affordable.
Don't buy any 2 channel aircraft - they are toys, and will last 2 flights. Also, go and buy a proper aircraft radio. It will give much more value over time, and is much easier to use then a car radio.
Have fun, and be safe!
