Default RE: Comp ARF BAE Hawk build thread

Mike,
guess I'm better at modelling than photography!
Pictures taken with camera phone & crap!
Booster was a one off deal from my mate Dave W.
Got the main wing done now. Had to fit small wedges under retracts to get wheels low enough in wells to clear with correct toe in. I noted others have similar experiences.
One would have cleared but did both to keep angle of oleos the same with gear down. Used 6mm fuel tube to guide & secure brake hose to oleo (see pic).
I used carbon fibre pushrods on flaps with JR 8511 servos., 8411's on ailerons, 8711's on elevator, 8411 on rudder.
Just cut out around small door to clear oleo. One niggle I have is that if you use counter sunk screws to secure retracts, there's no way it can be done without having to remove
material from wing beyond the area covered by the little covers. Comparf could have made them a little wider!
Can't wait for decent weather to fly it now!!!
BTW my kit has short bolts for wing securing too! need to get a couple of 60mm x 4mm.
Will post again after maiden.
Glyn............
