Thanks everyone for the kind and supportive words.

On the remote High Needle, is it normal to have a slight slight jiggle? My buddy said this could be one of the reason for not being able to tune. When I bench test I don't see bubbles but I haven't jiggled the needle when running so I'll try that next time.

Another question: when I slid on the carb to the motor I noticed when the holes aligned it just touched the rubber ring. With my OS heli motors I have to squeeze the rubber to align the holes. I'm wondering if I could be having an air leak at the carb.

Another question: the back plate on the magnum xls 46 does not have a gasket. should I seal that?

Again, the motor is new - perhaps I should be patient and give it some break in time.
toss the remote needle valve, its just a PITA (leaks, vibrates more than on the carb, ect)
you can seal the backplate/carb if you wish but it really isnt nessiary (cant hurt though)
your magnum isnt running that bad, its running rough because its breaking in and is to rich, but only time/tuneing will fix it

as i said before CHANGE YOUR PROP (10x7 is best, 11x5 is ok), a 11x6 is to much load for a new engine, thus causeing the engine to work harder, since the parts are mateing their is more friction than usual, aka more heat, when you put to big of a prop on a new engine you are decreasing the cooling while increasing the heat which is bad. thus causeing your engine to die
that prop will cause you more deadsticks than anything else
