Default Dynamite Sentry Battery Capacity Gauge

I just stumbled across this battery checker and was wondering if a 500 mA load is sufficient enough to test receiver batteries? I fly everything from .40 size to 1/4 scale and the batteries range in size from 600mA up to 2000mA? Or, would I be better off with the Hangar 9 voltmeter which has selectable 500Ma, 1A and 1.5A loads?
