"AT" The radio was definitely physically switched off.



I charged the radio for 24hrs on the wall charger and got 9.0V. I then left the radio switched off for 24hrs and got the result I am describing. Have just charged the original NiMh battery and will see if it does the same.

I will then try your suggestion of a very slow charge and see if that "conditions" the battery, although they are sanyo eneloops and shold have been right to go straight away.

Will see what happens.
